The Badminton World Federation (BWF) in collaboration with the Chinese Badminton Association (CBA) can confirm Xiamen as host city of the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2025.
The tournament will run from 27 April to 4 May 2025.
BWF President Poul-Erik Høyer congratulated the city of Xiamen on their successful bid. “The BWF is excited to be heading to beautiful Xiamen for the next edition of the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2025.
“We are looking forward to working with CBA and the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government to put on a wonderful show for our players, fans and partners,” said Høyer.
Xiamen is a port city on China’s southeast coast, and is famous for its scenic beaches, lush gardens, and delightful subtropical climate. Over the years, Xiamen has hosted many international sporting events, as well as developed a strong sporting culture within the community including a huge badminton playing population.
It will be the 7th occasion that China will host the Sudirman Cup Finals.
The 86th BWF Annual General Meeting and 13th Members’ Forum will also be held in Xiamen in conjunction with the championships.
